I listen to a lot of music, a lot of different genres and a lot of crap. I think that I missed a band somewhere in the mix and the bands name is Gogol Bordello. These guys have apparently been around for years and I don’t know how they were able to sneak through the cracks. If you have heard these guys once you cannot forget them. They have a most unique sound that I have no other way to describe than “Gypsy Punk” and I am not even sure that saying that gives the band justice of just how “different” there music is.
These guys have been on Letterman and performed with Madonna, so I take it they are big somewhere, but for now, take a listen below, and enjoy the Gogol Bordello Video!
Not that we hate AOL but it is few and far between times that we have something good to say about them. And well, I guess this is one of those times. AOL’s new “Full CD Listening Party” section of there site is rather cool. They post the newest albums from the pop charts and you can stream the full album for free.

John Mayer if a very well known Pop singer and songwriter, but what about the blues? Many people write John Mayer off because his lovey dovey pop singles that most are familiar with that are on MTV and usually tearing up the Pop charts. However I can tell you this guy really is a great guitar player and should not be taken so lightly. I have seen his performances at Eric Clapton’s Crossroad’s Festival and he is an amazing blues man when he wants to be.
I just saw this side of him not too long ago and have been blown away ever since. It just goes to show you that sometimes you do have to play a certain type of music to get well known. Then you can branch out or bring it back to the roots of your own music and this is where it’s at.
From time to time, the staff here at MusiBlog run across a website that is unique or different in some fashion and we like to share them with our readers. We have found a site that is exactly that. Not to often to we see a site that is basically a resume on the digital paper that really is interesting, but we just did.
The web site of Dennis Carey explains who he is and what his job skills are. Basically he is a head hunter for large corporations, filling there needs for high end CEO’s. Not that this is about music but check this guy out he has filled positions for AT&T, Avon, Ameritrade, CBS, Pfizer, Tyco and many, many others. It is just amazing that one guy has found the CEO’s for so many huge companies to me.

David Archuleta, from recent American Idol competition, and should have been winner, if you ask me, has finally released his debut album and single called Crush. You can watch the “Crush” music video here. This 17 year old’s music career just shifted info overdrive. Just a short break after coming in second on American Idol, and now he is on to his recording studio days. We can’t wait to see what this kid comes up with, we love his voice and music in general.
17 year old Archuleta has found his niche in music and won’t let go, we here at MusiBlog are exited to see him start a solo career and can’t wait to see where it takes him. We loved this youngsters rendition of John Lennon’s “Imagine” that we think he is going to the stars. We’re just not sure how he will get there, yet.
